| | I ran for the first time in more than two weeks this morning. It was pretty hard on my knees since I haven't run for a while, but my shin splints are totally better. I just did 1 1/2 mile warmup, 2Ks.
The car wash was super, super fun. It's always a good time hanging out with the team. Glad to be back =)

Dixie All-Comers (3 Miles) 00:28:57 | | So I did AWFUL at the race. AWFUL! But it was my second day back from injury and I was having a really hard time. And since I haven't been running for a couple weeks, my asthma was really bad at the race. I couldn't keep my breathing under control, and I started having an asthma attack about 1ish miles into the race. I had to stop a couple times to get my breathing in line, and it hurt really, really bad. So, even though I got like my worst time ever, I feel like it was one of my best races because races are a time to show your strengths, not weaknesses.
Good job everyone! You all did awesome!

| | am-just did 1 mile because I couldn't control my asthma like yesterday
pm-.5 warmup, and 1.5 miles. I feel like it's going to take a while to work back up to the level I was at before I got shin splints. Right when I started to be able to go farther, faster, and harder, I got injured. So, hopefully I can get back up to where I was.

| | pm- .5 warmup with team, and 1.5 workout warmup. I took it a little bit easier today since I'm still easing in and so I did 3 1/1 sets with a distance of about 195. Weights and plyos after.

| | am-3 barefoot grass miles. =) I love the grass runs. They're my favorite.
pm-RUNATHON! I'm super, super duper excited.

| | Runathon! I had a blast. I ran about 4.5 miles total. When not running, I played catch phrase (the best game ever!), soccer, ping pong around the world, and of course, the speed-walking competition. =)

pm-I had to be at piano by 3 45, so I ran .5 warmup with the group, then skipped agilities and went straight into a 1 mile workout warmup. I only had time for 1K before I had to leave. I had a really bad side ache during the K, so it wasn't as fast as it possibly could have been. I ended up with a 5:11.72.

| | pm-4 miles, I just went out to the 3 mile turn around, then did a mile back at the school. I didn't want to get too far out without my inhaler. I may have accidentally left it at practice yesterday. If anyone knows where it is, that would be very helpful. I was soooo sore during my run. So instead of striders I rolled out my calves.

pm-Time trial number 3 at Pine View. I didn't do as well as I would've hoped to do, but I pushed myself pretty hard. I've been working on my sprints at the end of workouts and distance runs because during the races I always get passed by people because I can't sprint as hard at the end. At the time trial, I was able to push really hard, and instead of my sprint dying out at the end, I was able to keep it strong until the finish line.

| | am-1.5ish miles. I came back early because I iced and rolled out my legs.
pm-.5 mile warmup with team, 1 mile workout warmup. I got 2 3/3s in. I was supposed to hit about 5.5ish orange cones. 4X30 seconds fast afterward with a 1 mile cool-down

| | am-I only did about 1 mile because my legs have been hurting lately, and I don't want them to hurt super bad at the race.

Duel In The Desert (3 Miles) 00:26:17 | | Duel in the Desert against Desert Hills. Maquel and I ran together, and pushed each other. I feel good about the race, but I'm really going to work on my sprints at the end of the race. That's my weakness.

Nebo (3 Miles) 00:24:10, Place in age division: 93 | | I was sooo excited to head up to the Nebo race. I had a blast with the whole team and getting to know everyone better.
I am happy with my race, at the same time I'm not though. I was close to breaking my PR, and I could've broke it, but I wasn't even sprinting at the end of the race because I thought that there was a whole other lap left on the track. So I was a little frustrated, but I ran hard during the race, so I'm okay with it. Karlie helped me so much in the race. We were right next to each other the entire time. Once one of us started pushing forward to pass people, the other one would go with them. It was a great race, and an awesome course. It went by so fast.
